Forgive me for not being present and blogging faithfully. Since the New Year I have refocused and I am working on realigning my goals and schedule to achieve them.
As many of you know, I have a desire to develop scripture illustrations for art prints and apparel. Unfortunately, not all of the time can be centered on art development since technology, storage and space all have needed attention and this is where much of my time has been going. One thing I know for sure, before I leave this earth, I will carry out the mission God carved on my heart to some capacity and I thank you for the encouragement and sharing this blog has opened up.
God has been so faithful in my life. I am very grateful that even when I was not living my life for Christ, He did not give up on me! He did not wait for me to ‘get it right’ but, Christ’s love wooed me to know the ultimate Lover of my Soul! Isn’t it great to know that God is no respecter of persons! Knowing God is not an exclusive club but His heart and arms are open to every person who seeks Him. We can all call Him “Abba Father”— Abba is an Aramaic word which means “daddy” or “papa”. When we receive Christ Romans 8:15 says,
For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”
Today I was going through a list of questions in preparation for an interview. The one question that I have lingered on is, “How do you evaluate success?” Salary certainly can be a reflection of success but, is that how Christ would define success?
Can a successful career for a Christian be void of Jesus Christ? No matter how hard and efficient we serve or increase profits, if our character has not caused others to recognize Christ, we have failed. On the other hand, an employed Christian is not being paid to evangelize. It is through our actions, our work ethic and the monetary increase we bring to the company that Christ is a witness. If Christ wants to reach someone through us, we just need to faithfully perform our job and do it to His Glory. God will use us to bless our employer and, if that employer chooses to reward us, I believe their success will multiply. Regardless, whether or not the employer’s heart turns toward us, if we do our part we are successful.
Tomorrow, when I interview, Father be with me— form my Words, prepare my heart and open the door of Your Sovereign Will. Nothing else is acceptable.
Dear Father,
For each and every reader of this blog, Lord carve in their heart your recipe of success in their life. Where they need patience, pour it out overflowing; where promotions have been held back, we bind the power of the enemy over their finances and loose finances and promotions, bonuses and favor with their employer and co-workers. Where doors have been shut, open doors of Your choosing for families, education, homes and transportation. Heavenly Father, when there is lack all around us we have no reason to fear because you are Jehovah Jireh, the God of Provision. Matthew 6:26 reads,

Thank you for valuing us and not giving up on us! In our brokenness, in our humanness, You, A HOLY GOD, value us! Thank you Father, PaPa, Dad. Love XOXOX
